NOTE: Hunter supplies can be bought from the Hunter Store in Yannile.
NOTE: Carrying hunter potions at levels 88-91, and 80-83, is recommended because you can encounter Dragon and Kingly implings in Feldip Hills

Levels 1-9: Creature: Crimson Swift Equipment: Bird snare X 2
These are VERY slow xp and terrible money, unfortunately you need to start hunter here. Luckily, you only need to catch a few dozen. Crimson Swifts can be found at the easternmost lake in Feldip Hills, they are on a sort of beach. Feldip Hills can be easily accessed with the Mobilizing Armies teleport (either the spell o r a ring or dueling) They give a few red feathers, normal bones and raw bird meat as loot. No one buys the red feathers, so you can use them for fletching, (not fishing, though) or sell them to the Fancy Dress Shop owner in Varrock for a random amount of coins, 3-12 coins per feather. The meat can be dropped, used for summoning or sold for a few K (for an whole inventory) and the bones can be dropped or buried. (Note: bonecrushers DO crush to bones that you gain from hunting animals, hunting will be slightly quicker and easier if you use it, however, it is NOT worth getting just for hunter)

Levels 9-29 Creature: Tropical Wagtail Equipment: Bird snare X 2
You can go right to these after crimson swifts. They are slightly faster, but are still boring, and horrible for cash. They can be found all over Feldip Hills. They give a few stripy feathers, bones and bird meat. Stripy feathers can be used to catch rainbow fish, or sold on the G.E., these actually do sell.

Levels 29-43 Creature: Swamp Lizards (requires Priest in Peril quest) Equipment: 5 X small net 5 X rope Druidic pouch/silver sickle (optional), and lots of inventory
These are where hunter starts making money! They are located near Canifis, reasonably close to the Canifis bank. To hunt them, click on a sapling and select "set up trap." Watch out for Ghasts! They can attack you on the way to the area, and VERY rarely wander into it. Snails can also wader in, they are aggressive to lower-levels, and attack with a magic attack strong for their low level. The salamanders are worth 1,500 gp each, because they are summoning secondaries. I would highly recommend banking them, 29-43 will make about 1 million gp.

(note: if you haven't completed Priest in Peril, hunt Sapphire Glacialis butterfly you can. Equipment: butterfly net/magic butterfly net, teleport to your house in Rellika, (walk north to the snow hunter area) and butterfly jars. release all the butterflies you catch, you make minimal profit selling them and banking can be difficult)

Levels 43-59: Creature: Kebbits (Falconry) Equipment: Coins X 2000
The falconer is located near Piscatoris fishing colony, easily reached with a Phoenix lair teleport. Pay the falconer 500 gp for a falcon (you must not be wearing gloves)
Hunt Spotted Kebbits to 57, and Dark Kebbits to 59. They give bones and furs, both should be dropped/buried. NOTE: during a random event you will lose your falcon and have to buy it back, BRING EXTRA COINS!!!!!

OR

Continue with swamp lizards to level 47. Then, hunt orange salamanders until level 59. Use the same gear as swamp lizards, but remember to bring 3-5 water skins, as they are located in the desert. I would only recommend this if you have Humidify, refilling waterskins from a cactus is time consuming, especially with a low woodcutting level, and banking is extremely difficult, almost out of the question.

Levels: 59-75 OR 63 (75 recommended) Creature: Red Salamanders Supplies: Small net X 5 Rope X 5

These don't make any money, but are fast xp, and don't worry, more cash coming up soon. These are located at the volcano, southwest of Ardouge. Hunt these in the same way as Swamp Salamanders. You CAN stop hunting these at 63 and hunt Red Chinchompas, (more on them later) but they are VERY slow until 75, which is why many hunters continue with Red Salamanders until level 75.

Levels (63/75)-99 Creature: Red Chinchompa Supplies: 10 X Box traps

Now....what you have all been waiting for....MONIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These stack, unlike almost all other hunter creatures, and are very profitable. From 75-99, you will catch about 45,000 of them, making over 25m! DOnt freak out at first, when 100 Reds Chinchompas takes you a few hours, at 80 you will be able to catch 300-400 per hour! I recommend hunting them just north of the westenmost pond in Feldip Hills, sell you box traps up like this:

O=map square X=trap

XOX
OXO
XOX

At 90 hunter, I would recommend the "spawning method." You lay your traps around the spawn location of a Red Chinchompa, so it can't escape. (At lower hunter levels, they will knock down you traps too much to make it effective.) Here is a map:

T=tropical tree (southermost of the 2 trees nesr the pond)
0=Map square X=Trap S=Spawn

OTOO
OOXO
OXSX
OOXX

Quickly shoot the Chinchompa with a bow if it escapes, a magic shortbow and bronze arrows, or iron/steel for people with lower ranged. I have found this method to work better, once you get used to it. You can use this method if you find it effective.
